Positive – How do you stay positive with RD and what happens when you are not?
Often I say, “I am naturally a positive person.” Perhaps that is true, but in reality, I work hard at staying positive. I believe we have a choice in life. We can see the good or we can see the bad. I prefer to focus on the positives in my life. There are so many!
To stay positive, I practice gratitude daily. When things are bad, I practice it hourly, sometimes every fifteen minutes. Like others, I have had times where RA was so bad, I struggled to find any positives. Fortunately for me, I have surrounded myself with family and friends who step in to provide the positives for me as needed.
I am a hopeful person. I have to believe research is coming that will benefit all autoimmune diseases, that others will find relief with the right medication as I have. I have to believe that if this medication stops working, another one is on its way for me. Staying positive is how I survive.
Positive is awesome !! It is so wonderful to be around positive people. Including you my dear friend.
