Recently I have been reading about the blood type diet. The last four people with rheumatoid arthritis that I have talked with have the same blood type as me. So, I am interested. I didn’t take the poll since I don’t have RA, but I just wanted to let you know that my dad has RA and his blood type is O.

Cathy – I read somewhere that Type O’s are the predominant sufferes of the autoimmune disorder arthritis. However, it is not specific as to being RA especially because RA is more common in people with Type A blood type. However, as mentioned, O types have a higher chance of having a autoimmune disease. But Type O blood is the most common, etc. I guess there is not enough research out there to fully make a determination. Let u know what you find out.
